Juicing Blends

Juicing is a great way to get liquid nutrition into your body. Below are various juicing blends that are packed with nutrition and benefits:

1. Spicy Orange

  • This is a simple get-started juice recipe. Always peel oranges before juicing: The skin contains toxic oils, which are good in cleaning products but not in the digestive tract.

Ingredients

  • 1 orange, peeled
  • 1 cucumber, peeled if not organic
  • 1-inch chunk of ginger root

Directions

  1. Cut produce to fit your juicer’s feed tube.
  2. Juice all ingredients and stir.
  3. Pour into a glass and drink as soon as possible. Serves 2.

2. Mango-Cucumber Salsa Cooler

Ingredients

  • 1 firm, ripe mango, peeled and seeded
  • 1 cucumber, peeled if not organic
  • 1 handful of cilantro

  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 small handful of parsley
  • 1 kale leaf
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 3 carrots, scrubbed well, tops removed, ends trimmed
  • 2 celery ribs with leaves
  • 1 lemon, peeled if not organic
