Get Grounded
The earth’s surface is literally covered in negatively charged ions. That’s a good thing. These ions are responsible for purifying air, eliminating allergies, lifting spirits, and balancing out all the positive-badness we absorb all day from pollution, computer screens, and stagnant air. We can easily lessen the amount of positive ions we absorb while indoor through the use of salt lamps or air deionizers, but the best way to neutralize our bodies of these harmful ions is to go to the source. How do we soak up these ions? It’s easy. Go outside and take off your shoes. Rubber soles on our oh-so-expensive footwear deny these desirable negative ions access to our bodies. Walk around the backyard. Get the grass between your toes. Bury your feet in the sand at the beach. Stroll through the woods. Jump into puddles. Its ok, no one’s watching.
